The Hundreds just did a great feature on LA-based artist Phil Lumbang. He's been honing his skills as Shepard Fairey's art/design assistant for a few years, but has recently made a bigger name for himself tagging up the city with his Awesome Bears.
The simplicity and ironically subversive nature of the Bears is refreshing. So much so that police have let him free even after catching him in the act of spray painting private property.
Phil has a show coming up in September at the Rebel Army Studios called "HUG LIFE." Check out his site for more details.
Is that a pedo bear?
