As far as car crashes go, the video below is about as violent as they get. After the crash The Patron Highcroft Le Mans team was left with nothing more than a pile of carbon fiber and scrap metal. So what does a team do when there's a big race the next day?
1. Call Honda Performance and have a new Acura ARX flown overnight from California to the track in Atlanta.
2. Arm your crew with 4,000 car parts
3. Lock said crew in the shop for 22 hours
And there you go. The team assembled a fully functional Le Mans racer in 22 hours. Impressive, considering I've spent that much time building an Ikea desk.
